dogs and karma ![]()
I believe there is a heaven for dogs when they die. I also believe that there is somewhere, an over-riding justice that eventually catches up with people who torture and kill animals for sport and pleasure. I include humans in the world of animals and while I see a difference between animal and human cruelty in our laws, I see no distinction in my morals. They both are unspeakably evil. I won’t mention his name or even the professional sport he sullied and smeared with filth by what he did. He doesn’t deserve to be named. He doesn’t deserve our news coverage, magazine coverage, video-taped reviews of his activities, possible future career, or life. People who torture and kill dogs because they were unable to be as vicious or as ugly as their owners deserve nothing but our contempt. They should be shunned and forgotten. Later, if it hasn’t happened already, you’ll read or hear all the excuses and reasons why this particular waste of human DNA thought it was a good idea to electrocute and burn puppies alive. I’m sure it has something to do either with his childhood or the fact that his skin is has a different amount of melanin than mine. Making excuses for the behavior of torturing innocent dogs is more vile almost than the act itself. This particular hunk of human debris didn’t torture and kill those dogs because he was misunderstood or discriminated against. He did it because he enjoyed it. Think about that for a minute. Think about a person who gets enjoyment from burying dogs alive after putting them through unspeakable pain and suffering. I can’t imagine what kind of feeling he got by doing this. Some say that people like him do these things to feel more macho and male. I think it is quite the opposite. The do it because they are less than men and far below anything that any society would consider macho. They are little evil boys pulling the wings off of flies just because they can. We value the life of a dog far below the life of a human and I have no argument to make about that. People and their continued existence are paramount in our society. We have sacrificed dogs in police forces, the military, and other endeavors for thousands of years. Dogs have served humanity with honor and distinction for untold generations but they are, after all, dogs. A comparison has been made between hunting deer and torturing and murdering dogs for fun. I don’t hunt and never have, but there is a huge distinction between a clean kill for food and a prolonged torture of an innocent for no other reason than the sick thrill it gives the torturer. This is the last I’ll write about this guy. He deserves to disappear from our notice and attention. I believe in God and even though my beliefs about the existence of Hell aren’t in line with organized religion, I believe in justice. I guess you could put me down as more of a Buddhist in that regard – I believe in karma and even have inkling that reincarnation isn’t all that far-fetched. I don know one thing for sure. You can’t torture and kill people or dogs in MY universe and get away with it. Eventually, you have to pay your bill for the evil you’ve done. Evil comes in many forms. It can come in the huge horror of the Holocaust, or it can come in minor dribs and drabs like the torture of dogs by a cruel idiot. Both are bad and both will require their own particular karmic pay-back. 2007-08-27 21:48:07 GMT
