Is General Aviation "the Debbil"??

Piper CEO Jim Bass told us press minions at last week's Sun & Fun Fly-In that "General Aviation was being demonized". Apparently, he thought this was a bad thing.

Apart from the obvious connotation of demons being evil little green guys with wings,  I found a more apt definition. Using the following explanation, I think you'll find that Jim Bass was totally accurate by implying that we little airplane types are demonic:

In Neoplatonism, a daemon was more like a demigod rather than an evil spirit, as Eros was described as in-between the gods and humankind. In the Christian reception of Platonism, the eudaemons were identified with the angels.

So, you see? We pilots are literally go-betweens and angels. We are somewhere between the almighty and the common, mud-covered dweebes who don't fly. We are identified with angels.

I am proud to be a demonic general aviation pilot.
