A New and Exciting Air Show Idea ![]() I have a cost-saving idea for the air show industry in this country. Why don’t we have UAV acts fly during shows like Sun & Fun and Oshkosh? Just think of the economies. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles could be flown in from their bases and could park in the Warbird area. I can see the show now. They take off in Lakeland Florida at the EAA’s Sun & Fun Fly-In and even though they are being flown by ground-bound pilot in Nevada, they do a fairly good aerobatic routine. Heck, they might even drop a few bombs or assassinate a few local leaders. Safety for the UAV air shows would not be a problem because the entire audience can watch the show from home using an iPhone link. 2009-03-06 14:07:10 GMT

Oh Oh! The EAA is coming after you. How will they survive without the herds that show up every year? Kevin.....are you running yet? It is a great idea, and us old geezers can start flying RC models and give them something to shoot at. Talk about a real air show with action and fiery crashes, just what people want. That is the next step after they take away Sport Pilot because of security concerns.

So I guess you weren't at Nellis for Aviation Nation 2007 when a Predator orbited the show the whole day sending down images to the Jumbotron before finally making it's own passes along the flight line then?
